A man lives isolated on an island. His only companion is a young woman with whom he has made an unnatural agreement: She pretends to be his deceased wife. What happens when the pledge is broken?

Orestes and Ismini fell in love at first sight. He is an artist, a painter and a poet. She is a young girl, just graduated from the university, in search for love, wisdom and completion. They spend most of their time in Oreste’s atelier, in the centre of Athens. When a serious illness is knocking on their door, they both realize, that destiny, is something complicated and the human mind usually ignores it.

An allegorical film about the existence or nonexistence of Man. Confronted with the need and will of Man to live, a question is raised: Does the instinct of survival finally lead us to survival or does it inevitably lead us to our complete destruction? Is conflict unavoidable? Is the need for alliance and for a meeting of minds an illusion? And who will prevail in the end? Human nature or Nature?
