In the future, no one could be free. A man travels back in time and returns to Capitão Lima St., in northeastern Brazil, trying to relive the party where he kissed another boy for the first time. With only some minutes to spare, he discovers he has arrived in the wrong year and that now he only has the memories from the street to rediscover his freedom. Just like the film’s director, who found his own freedom in the same place, the man realizes it is not in his memory where he will be free.

Among the hardships that Jorge experiences with his best friend, in the countryside of Paraíba, it is right in the middle of the world that he will get closer to his dream of being a reporter.

This is an adaptation of the 2015 TV show, featuring two intertwining love triangles that drive the plot. The first triangle involves Aragão, his wife Arlinda, and her lover, Chico. The second triangle unites Malvina, Lena, and Gabriel, who is the son of Arlinda and Chico but raised by Aragão.

The memories and reflections of Otávio Sabino, a former employee of the Railway Network, through the eyes of Mery Lemos, his daughter and the film's director. The world seen from the window of a train in the Mata Norte region of Pernambuco, memory, nostalgia, rust, sounds, gears, critical reflection, music and poetry come together.

Maria de Déa, Lampião's companion and first woman in the Cangaço, is a fearless young woman who dares to have a voice in a group of outlaws. In a life of escapes and armed disputes, Maria faces a pregnancy and is subdued to the harshest law of the Cangaço: handing over her baby to be raised by someone else. She begins to live between life in the group and the hopeless desire to raise her daughter.
