Andreas will soon be twenty. It’s a special moment in which the threads of his life become inextricably entwined into a knot. Entering the adult world and slipping back towards childhood. Studying, football matches with mates, and family life centred around his father’s workshop. A new relationship with a boy his own age and a long-time “friend” who works for his father becomes too much for him. Vinoth, a young Sri Lankan refugee, has been living alone and working in Switzerland for a year. He is looking for a volunteer activity to escape his loneliness but no one is willing to accept his help.

Achille, 13, awaits, full of hope, the release from prison of his father, unknown and fantasized. His dream of living as a threesome, like a real family, will be seriously undermined by a mother exhausted from waiting and this father who is unsuitable and made irresponsible by so many years of incarceration. Will this vulnerable person with a flamboyant past be able to keep the promise he made to his son to never live apart from him again?
