A police officer Ram, a man of his word, has a wife, Manthara, who is obsessed with money and neglects her family in pursuit of getting rich quick.

A young engineer, from a small town, moves to Mumbai, with big dreams. As he hugely advances in his career, he gets caught up in the rich and glamorous lifestyle and starts getting changed. After becoming a victim of a conspiracy, he realizes his mistake and tries to redeem himself.

Ramu yearns to play football while his brother, Deva, wants a bicycle. The brothers are happy when they find an abandoned bicycle, but things start to go wrong when it is stolen from them.

Shekhar and Birsingh are bosom pals. They come to stay at a small chawl where an angry woman confronts them. But when their hatred turns into love and oneness they form a sister-brother relationship, willing to lay down their lives for each other. On the other side, there are two lovers – Ravi and Rita. Shekhar and Birsingh are also strangely related to Rita.
