A middle-aged man dissatisfied with the present state of things finds himself in a parallel universe where all technology is stuck in the 1990s.

Led by Carlo Verdone, a truly Roman, we explore the social and cultural origins of Roman comedy. A "disillusioned" form of comedy, a bit cynical, a bit resigned, constantly toeing the line between popular spirit and sophisticated writing, between indolence and passion, between laughter and tears, between film, theater, and TV.

Flaminia De Angelis, a cheerful girl from North Rome, is obsessed with fitness and comes from a wealthy background. Under pressure from her mother, she is about to marry Alberto, the son of a diplomat, as a means to climb the social ladder. The arrival of her autistic half-sister, Ludovica, turns her life upside down, and an unexpected event puts everything at risk.

Marco Santin and Giorgio Gherarducci - supported in the studio by Mago Forest, a great cast of comedians and many surprise guests - comment with biting irony on the most popular TV programs, the main sporting events and the last web trends.

Four famous figures—Francesco Totti, Selvaggia Lucarelli, Elettra Lamborghini, and Roberto Saviano—attend their own funerals. Six ruthless, living comedians—Stefano Rapone, Edoardo Ferrario, Beatrice Arnera, Eleazaro Rossi, Corrado Nuzzo, and Maria Di Biase—honor them with a savage roast. Michela Giraud officiates. It’s laughs until the very last breath. Welcome to *Roast In Peace*.
