A scorching summer stretches across the countryside and the city. In a lush landscape, Marie, a sound artist in research, begins to question her relationship. The arrival of Noée, a young traveler, disrupts her routine and that of Yan, a solitary farmer next door. In the city, Eva, newly arrived from the Philippines, walks sleepless nights, caught between homes, while Jeanne, a master's student, contemplates walking away from everything. Between moments of doubt and brief connections, their worlds echo one another.

Tam, a diligent wedding venue staffer, discovers her husband’s affair on live TV. Rather than confronting him, she enlists a powerful spell master to win back his love. Tam’s daughter, Ha, pours her frustration into vivid fantasies of a brighter future abroad. Meanwhile, a mysterious House Spirit, visible only to the women, lurks beneath their cracked, leaky ceiling.

In a discotheque stuck in the 80s, four lives intertwine as each searches for connection and meaning amidst the pulsating beats and timeless allure of an era that refuses to fade.

Anke is about to leave her small German town in the Black Forest region, while Lisa finds it hard to feel at home there. They meet by chance on a cold, grey autumn day, and wander the streets together.
