Two trouble-causing brothers, who in the second generation after World War II Germany live, are in the center of this German made for TV movie. The movie makes a subject out of their everyday lives and the helpless attempt for them to build a normal life.

Dilettantishly cruel scenes from the "scene": A skinhead loves a dance girl and dreams of a petty-bourgeois future. When he is deprived of the wages of a robbery by his landlady, an impoverished princess, he kills her. His girlfriend sinks to being a prostitute and is also killed. It all ends in the prison cell with a dream vision of a white wedding in Berlin's Memorial Church. First film shot on Super-8 and blown up to 16mm by Tabea Blumenschein, who became known as a performer in underground films and as a costume designer.

A man goes over a girl and is in a village on the Baltic Sea henceforth as a "murderer" - until he lies dead in his garden. An accident, everyone says. But the autopsy shows that Ralf Kossak was killed. The police consider Stefan Hansen, the father of the dead Lisa, for the murderer, because he has the strongest motive: revenge. But Hansen was not, his wife Meike not. In the village begins a veritable witch hunt on Kossak's widow and her sons. The police discover what a shattering drama is in the Kossak family.

A married couple has problems and he wants to solve these against her wish by consulting a psychiatrist. As both expect an older woman they are very surprised when the psychiatrist reveals to be a good looking younger woman of the same age as they are. Especially he likes it this way whereas she becomes kind of jealous. But as things happen in relationships of three persons the women fall in love.

Laura returns to Chile, after thirty years, to say goodbye to his old and sick mother. In this bitter journey she is accompanied by his daughter Elizabeth, who still did not know her grandmother. When the old woman meets her granddaughter, she decides to change her will and leave the young Elizabeth as heir of the family mansion. When soon after the grandmother dies, Elizabeth examines the inheritance, and discovers with surprise that the mansion was donated to a foundation.

Having trouble coping with school and their teachers, five students are sent to after school detention by principal Seifert. To avoid expulsion they must take extra hours in ethics. It is their last chance. Stressed out with her own exams, the new trainee teacher Mechthild Bremer is not enthusiastic about being assigned to teach this class. Accordingly, the first couple of hours do not run smoothly. The five give her a hard time.

When he is visited by his wife Doris and their daughter Nina, his stay becomes a heavy emotional and personal burden for Lukas. Suddenly he has to face up to his homeland, his past and his family.

In 1957 Berlin, Renate, Angelika, and Karin have known one another since they were children. Renate has the idea that the three of them should accept New Zealand’s invitation to young German women to emigrate and find a new home abroad. Whereas Karin is mostly interested in adventure and Angelika wants to escape her past as a prostitute, Renate hopes to finally locate her father, who emigrated to New Zealand 20 years earlier.
