A Call and Response between 2020 and 2440, told through the perspective of eight black women, that are connected through the tireless and endless fight against racism.

Aaron had a traumatic childhood. He was constantly beaten by his mother Susanne, who repeatedly used both physical and psychological violence against him. At the age of seven, he was sexually abused by a stranger. He then began having sex with other children of the same age. Today, as a young adult, he is still traumatized and deeply ashamed. When he visits his mother again after four years of silence, he is ready to break his silence.

After studying graphic design, Aline is reluctantly starting her practical training as an art teacher. When her boyfriend leaves her on top of that, she runs off to live with her parents in the countryside. In this moment of crisis, she encounters a Catholic priest who is able to talk about faith outside of religion. Aline is intrigued, but remains critical.

To preserve the memory of his ex-boyfriend’s kisses, Aaron no longer brushes his teeth. His sister’s appeals to reason fail and everything escalates when their authoritarian father visits. A touching drama about mental health.
