Dai Huiyao

Returning to his hometown as a village cadre, Lu Baotian is tasked with promoting land reform in Gangshang Village during the 40th anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-Up. He faces strong resistance - not just from villagers, but from his own father, a respected elder who once led the village’s original land reform. As the community struggles between preserving tradition and embracing modernization, Baotian must find a new path forward through conflict, family ties, and shifting rural values.

The story revolves around the mysterious disappearance of the Eastern Tombs' treasures, drawing in high-ranking military and political figures like Chiang Kai-shek and Yan Xishan. As they scramble to resolve the situation, a web of intrigue unfolds involving tomb raiders, corrupt officials, and conflicting allegiances. At the center of the action is Na Xinting, who finds himself entangled with a group of masked Daoists, romance, and betrayal, all while he tries to uncover the truth behind the missing treasure.

Set in 1920s, warlords in north China fight each other to gain more territories. Sun Dian-Ying is one of these warlord. He robs the imperial graves of Qing Dynasty.
