In the 1990s many people in Kurdistan were taken into custody and interrogated under torture; their killers disposed of the bodies by throwing them out of helicopters, or burying them in acid-filled wells. Thousands were murdered/disappeared by paramilitary forces—such as Jitem and Hizbul-Kontra—that were financed and supported by the state, though they have always stuck to the line: “We didn’t do it.” The documentary looks at the case of seven people, including four children, who were disappeared from the town of Kerboran [Dargeçit] in 1995, and tells the story of their families’ tireless search for their bones

The little deaf and dumb boy Zeyno (9) is living with his father Mustafa (42) and elder brother Çeto (20) in their house far from the village. Zeyno spends all his time by playing with his cute sheep. His father Mustafa who can’t earn as well as he used to, decides to livestock by insist of his friends. Çeto helps an animal dealer called Emin (35) who he met in the town, and starts earning his own money. After some works Çeto trusts Emin and introduces him to his father. Zeyno is getting worried about his sheep after his dad starts selling livestock with Emin. Emin is going to make a big deal of animals with Mustafa and buys his all animal. A big transporitng of animals will be done. Zeyno’s beloved sheep is also among them. Zeyno how is very sad about his sheep, is now looking a way of saving his cute sheep and zeyno will be in a hide and difficult struggle.

A man is stuck on the border between two countries. He has jeopardised his whole livelihood by spending the last money he had on a herd of cows that he awaits coming from the war torn neighbouring country. Amidst the sounds of explosions and distressing announcements made by the border authorities, the man’s hopeful waiting for the cows, turns into the fear of losing everything.

Hülya and Mustafa try to organize their tent life so that their children can continue with their lives. The youngest child, İbo, is an exuberant boy full of joy. Having suddenly become homeless, he has also tasted the freedom of being able to go out to the streets at any moment, and prefers to spend all his time playing outside instead of going to school. Neither İbo nor his family are fully aware of the traumatic impact of homelessness. They act as if they had always lived in a tent, behaving as though everything were perfectly normal. They believe that their life in the tent is temporary and spend their days making plans to build a new home. From a distance, they appear ordinary, just like any happy family. However, as time passes quickly, their plans gradually give way to despair.

Back in his hometown after his university studies, Servan is witness to the burning down of his village and a series of other atrocities which eventually lead him to join the Kurdish resistance. In the ranks of the Kurdish liberation movement, he is seriously injured in clashes with the Turkish army. In order not to slow down his comrades and allow them to escape, Servan insists that he be left behind. Against all odds, he survives, enduring several days of acute pain. However, his friends cannot come back to pick him up, the area being surrounded by Turkish soldiers. As the soldiers approach, Servan decides to leave his hide away in spite of his serious injuries. He sets out to find his friends, overcoming countless obstacles in the forest, but nevertheless helped by Kurdish villagers throughout his journey. However, he is hunted down by death squads and village guards.
