In consequence of his professional mistakes and declining career, Shuji and his family, the Sasaya’s, are forced to leave the wealthy suburb of Tokyo. The move is slow, long and heartbreaking, and the two Sasaya children, an old teenager and a young adult, unwittingly turn the grieving process into an exuberant and unpredictable farewell party!

On a quest to find the comic book he’s been searching for his entire life, an adventurous 17 year-old travels to Tokyo and discovers a world in which Japanese comics are real and that he’s one of the main characters.

Mamiya Mugen is a detective who has the ability to look into people's minds and show their dreams to others. He is lured by the disembodied voice of girl, Nayuko Mishima, who has been missing for months.
