The film, which was shown on the occasion of the “International Migrants Day”, tells the story of “Mihiret”, a young Ethiopian woman who came to Lebanon to work as a domestic servant. Mihiret, who supports her mother and daughter in Ethiopia, begins her tragic journey with the labor system for female migrant workers in Lebanon and its inhumane conditions and moves from one job to another, experiencing physical, psychological and material abuses and depriving them of their rights as workers and as a human.

The film stars Dalida Khalil and Ziad Bourji, and was released in Lebanon in 2013. It was made as a sequel to the original series which follows Dalida, a young woman known for constantly lying. She falls deeply in love with famous singer Ramzi Dib.

It tells the story of the power and control exercised by women in marital relationships, and, in turn, the weakness of the husband’s personality, through the daily lives of Karen and her husband.

When a sly lawyer survives a health crisis, he views it as a second chance at life, and vows to rid the world of the evil of ten people.

Under a single sky burdened by crises, the stories of the Lebanese intertwine with the anguish of Syrian refugees in a human epic that showcases the harshness of current challenges. The events boldly depict the tragedies of poverty, the struggle for survival, and the hopes hanging by a thread.
