The Super Trio Series is a Hong Kong variety show produced by TVB. The series debuted in 1995, and remained in production for eighteen years due to its popularity. The show was hosted by Eric Tsang and his two assistants - Jerry Lamb and Chin Kar-lok. The show initially ended its run with the airing of the final episode on July 16, 2005. However, on March 9, 2008, the first episode of the show's spin-off series Super Trio Wonder Trip was aired; its main purpose was to introduce a series of new games that are to be imported from various game shows all over the world and would appear in series 8, Super Trio Supreme.

Dr. Ko Lap-yan heads a team of senior psychiatrists and residents at the Yan Wo Hospital in Hong Kong. Most episodes revolve around the team diagnosing patients. With a specialty at diagnosing criminals, Ko also has close ties with the Serious Crime Unit of the Hong Kong Police Force, a unit headed by Senior Inspector Chung Kwon-ban. The second series sees Ko's resignation from the Yan Wo Hospital; he is later transferred to a new psychiatric department, the Forensics Psychiatry Department, of Bok On Hospital, where he formally diagnoses criminals.

The terrorist organization "Waganbu" infiltrated Hong Kong and set off a battle for chemical weapons in Hong Kong. Fan Shaofeng, the commander of the Flying Tigers, was ordered to fight against the terrorists. High-end AI robot Bo accidentally loses her way while she is being shipped from the factory. She eventually ends up among a family of weirdos in the realm of human beings. AI company employee Koo Ka-lim thinks he has found some treasure and arbitrarily keeps Bo for himself. To help four family members in the Koo household handle all kinds of strange tasks, Bo switches on her self-learning function and begins to experience myriad human emotions and desires. She even has a crush on her master Ka-lim and understands the meaning of love. Top management member and also romantic rival Sister Dorian keeps going after Bo at all times as she is determined to eradicate her. Meanwhile, Bo detects some computer bug has hit her. Her life is coming to an end.

Interior Designer Moon Sing Hong purchases a flat in anticipation of marrying his longtime girlfriend who is expected to be returning home soon after studying abroad. Without his knowledge or permission his older sister rents out his flat to popular Cantonese opera singer Kan Kit. Unable to break the rental lease, Sing Hong uses all kinds of tactics to try to make Kan Kit move out but her manager Lin Sau fong helps her stand firm. When Sing Hong's best friend and business partner Tin Hak kan, meets Kit he develops an instant attraction to her and ask Sing Hong to help him pursue Kit. In order to help his friend with love Sing Hong gets close to Kit to find out about her interests. The two soon work out their differences and become friends. However their typical life is turned upside down when Kit gets into a car accident and finds her biological mother, while Sing Hong finds out his longtime girlfriend has been living in Hong Kong all along with another man.

Fai Yan and his younger sworn sister Ko Keung become Lo Yan County Yamen constables. Newly appointed Head Captain Wong Se tells Fai Yan to go to anarchic Yat Tseung Kung City to look for some spy who has lost contact. Man’s Noodles is passed down to Man Shui, Man Nin and Man Sai. They have learned the craft from their father and opened their own noodle shops, resulting in destructive competition. Lung Kau, Fok Siu-yuk and Kam Chi are their wives. They often quarrel as they earnestly defend their husbands. The siblings’ mother Madam Man Ji Chin-hung hasn't intervened in the feud between her sons as she is faced with a dilemma. Just before CNY’s Eve, Chin-hung dreams of her late husband. He brings up the sibling rivalry and tells Chin-hung to restore things to order. Chin-hung then uses the legend of the Mans’ Golden Bowl, which was bestowed by the Emperor, as an excuse for luring her three sons into temporarily staying at their old home from first to seventh of January. Chin-hung pretends to observe her sons and their family members’ behavior which she uses as a basis for deciding who is the Golden Bowl winner. She hopes to unite everybody through participation in traditional CNY activities.

In a multidimensional domain, Poon Siu-yu enters the second dimension after her death in the first dimension, i.e. the mortal realm. She then joins Office of the Life Authority and becomes a novice “destiny administrator”. Siu-yu has to keep a close watch on food courier Chan Pei-ho, who is in the mortal realm. Pei-ho earns a meager living regardless of the weather. But his family members just do not care about him. He is already overwhelmed by life pressures, and he is also jinxed by “bad spirit” Siu-yu while doing his job. Siu-yu gradually sympathizes with Pei-ho. Meanwhile, Pei-ho also realizes this mysterious girl has covertly helped him a lot. The duo then even recklessly start a romantic relationship that is probably going to have no future.
