Two friends come to Saur-Mogila - nurse Sergey from Russia and German Paul. They are looking for things from the Second World War and are suddenly transported to 1941, during the battles at Saur-Mogila. The heroes are faced with a choice - to stay and help or return to their own time.

Andrey himself is an enigma, a taciturn driver who exists only in the present, and a reluctant guide for lost souls. Each time Andrey successfully delivers a lost soul from limbo, a mysterious number on the taxi-meter counts down one by one. And with each soul’s story a little bit more of Andrey’s past is revealed. Are the Passengers the only souls seeking redemption?

Faced with insurmountable problems, five young Muscovites flee to a monastery near the half-abandoned village of Topi. They view the trip as an adventure, a long-awaited freedom from worries, and an opportunity to forget. However, the journey turns into a series of mysterious events that only brings closer what they fled from and make them doubt the reality of what's happening.
