An anthology film comprising two comedy shorts about life in rural Ossetia.

In a high-mountain Ossetian village where archaeological excavations were being carried out, a local schoolboy, Murat, worked part-time. Zaur, Murat's cousin, who was visiting them for the summer holidays, accidentally finds an ancient jug with gold coins at the excavation site and hides it from everyone. In the fall, Murat moved to the city, where he entered college to learn the profession of a mason. Once he stood up for the honor of Lena, a student of the same school...

The film is about the period of large-scale construction of multi-story buildings in Vladikavkaz, the work of trusts, and their competition. On the construction sites, dynasties of craftsmen worked, and the youth learned from the experience of the older generations.

The man, after a lot of jokes on his side, accuses his wife of giving birth to only girls, but she tells him that the heirs deserve fathers like real men, and leaves, taking daughters with her. Her husband's friends are trying to reconcile them, but the proud mountain woman does not intend to return home.

The film tells about man's love for nature and the importance of preserving the environment.

North Caucasus, XIX century. Abrek-Ossetian Jigo learns that only two men remain in his family — he and his nephew Akhsar. The highlander decides to take revenge on the Dudarov’s family, whose representative killed his brother. However, the difficult financial situation forces Jigo to go to Mozdok, where he is going to exchange cheese for grain with his kunak, the Terek Cossack Stepan. He loads the cart and, together with his nephew, goes to the Russian fortress.

This historic drama is set in an Ossetian village in the 17th century. The film’s main hero is Chermen. An illegitimate son, Chermen is striving to assert his dignity. He is opposed by Dacco, the elder of the Aldar clan, in whose village Chermen lives. Guided by mercenary motives, Dacco strikes a deal with Prince Tsarai. Together, they rob people and then divide the loot between themselves. By some chance, Chermen learns of the deal and informs his friends about it. At first, he thinks that no one in the Aldar village would believe him, the bastard, and that the plot would remain unexposed. But the friends accept the challenge.
