The aftermath of a shocking explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power station made hundreds of people sacrifice their lives to clean up the site of the catastrophe and to successfully prevent an even bigger disaster that could have turned a large part of the European continent into an uninhabitable exclusion zone. This is their story.

A girl who has lost her beauty turns to a local saint for help. Waiting for a miracle, she stays in his house and becomes a hermit. An ancient icon becomes her confidant, prompting her to perform the true miracle herself.

The year is 1953. Due to the mass amnesty, the criminal situation in the USSR is tense. At the same time, Ivan Astafyev, a former commander of a reconnaissance platoon, who was released from prison, returns to his hometown of Gorky. And immediately becomes a victim of an attack by bandits, and then a false accusation of beating the attackers. Ivan's pre—war acquaintance, Captain Shvedov, helps out of trouble, who gets him a job at the Dynamo sports society to train policemen in hand-to-hand combat.

Directed and written by Yuliana Zakrevskaya, the show follows a zoopsychologist who becomes a murder suspect and must form a connection with a mysterious girl to prove his innocence.
