Aram is the pseudonym of Arkadiusz Rybicki, politician, social activist, MP. On April 10, 2010, he died in Smolensk, on his way to the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. He was 57 at the time. 40 years earlier, in the Gdańsk Shipyard, he made the inscription "We will not forget Katyn". Already at the age of seventeen, he started opposition activities. From 1979 he was associated with the Young Poland Movement, he edited the "Bratniak" magazine. In August 1980, he collaborated with the striking workers of the Coast, wrote down 21 demands of the Inter-Enterprise Strike Committee. After that memorable August, he became involved in the activities of the Solidarity Trade Union. He was interned during martial law. In the second half of the 1980s, he started working in the secretariat of Lech Wałęsa, in the late 1990s he became deputy minister of culture, and then a member of the Sejm on behalf of the Civic Platform.

An epic tale of Poles, Ukrainians, Jews who are deported to Russia. Their fate is shown from the perspective of a young boy Staszek, who goes to Siberia with his family and neighbors from a small village in the eastern Polish borderlands. Together with his companions he starts hard struggle for survival, where the most fearsome opponent turns out to be terrible, merciless nature... Circumstances force the boy to reevaluate his life and grow up faster. Soon he will have to learn the essential struggle for survival and make decisions that will where rate will be life of his relatives. He will also have to choose between love for the Jewish Zinnia and the Russian Luybka.

The provincial seaside town of Cierpie Dolne. Magda, a journalism student, arrives as part of her internship to conduct broadcasts on the local radio station. Her first interview is with police lieutenant Tucznik, also an intern. Businessman Outlaw and the mayor have problems with their sons, Mops and Kitty, who repeatedly abandon undressed girls in the woods. The barmaid falsely accused Mops and Kicius of rape, and received money from the Exception for her silence. Meanwhile, the case to cover up the alleged rape gets complicated.

An event, which main attraction is the dance marathon, has gathered crowds at the market square of the provincial Polish town. Impressive prizes compete with another attraction: the concert of the star singer Jessica. A local outsider Christian falls for the singer. Soon he discovers that her life is far from being a dream and decides to win her heart. In the crowd of marathon contestants we will meet many individuals who dream of winning the main prize for various motivations. Who will turn out to be the winner? Will there be a prize at all? Because two small-time crooks, Simon and Silvio, are lurking around. And why this persistent notion that our life is so often influenced by miracles...?
