Achintya Kumar Sengupta

Bireswar Vivekananda is a 1964 Indian Bengali-language biographical film about the Indian Hindu religious leader, Swami Vivekananda.

This story concerns an honest police officer Amit Sen and his wife Seema. Seema has to kill a smuggler, Changez in self-defence, but she cannot tell anything to Amit. Changez's boss Shamsher Singh harasses her for the diamonds that Changez has accidentally dropped in her house, but she has no clue about. In due course, Seema is arrested. Finally, Amit catches Shamsher Singh and proves Seema's innocence in court.

Kakoli and Sukanto meet in a library reading room. They gradually grow closer to each other and start meeting frequently. One day, she visits Sukanto at his home and her appearance moves everyone in his family. Sukanto's mother wants them to marry but Kakoli's parents refuse the proposal. So, Kakoli leaves the home of her father and begins working as a receptionist. However, misunderstandings soon develop between her and Sukanto.

Indrani falls in love with Sudarshan, an unemployed man. Soon they face the hardships of life and drift apart.
