August Blanche's charming comedy is about a traveling theater company and their struggle to keep the dream of performing arts alive, despite chaos, conflicts and unexpected obstacles. Recorded in the summer of 2024.

Melodifestivalen (direct translation: The Melody Festival) is an annual music competition organised by Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition is a six part tour (5 heats + the final) with stops in cities across Sweden to determine the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen is also known informally as "Mello", or internationally as "Melfest".

The series is named after a small part of Saltsjöbaden called Solsidan. It revolves around Alex and Anna who are expecting their first child and have just moved to Alex's childhood home in Saltsjöbaden, Stockholm County. Alex tries to get Anna to enjoy herself, and at the same time spend time with his childhood friend Fredde.

Jens and wife Åsa pack up the family to spend the summer in the archipelago. The idyll, however, does not appear when it comes out that the in-laws do not intend to leave the cottage to Jens and Åsa, but plan to spend the whole summer there with them.

We eat, sleep, work and long for the weekend. Yes, we do."
