Seribu Kisah is a TRANS 7 FTV programme that presents stories of 1001-night stories. A different take on a folk tale from Betawi, Selendang Mayang tells a story about a beautiful woman named Mayangsari.

As a result of killing a group of robbers as a form of self-defense, Ridho was thrown into prison. While he was a prisoner, Ridho experienced unfair treatment and was abused by his cellmates. When he came out of prison after 12 years, Ridho had difficulty finding work. Only a grocery store owner named Siti gave him a job. Then, Ridho remembered the letter he received six years ago in prison regarding his mother's death. Ridho searches for information, until all the clues point to Siti's child, Annisa, whom he loves.
