Lena

Set in Galicia in northwest Spain - an area famed for its beauty and smuggling - this film shows a once-thriving fishing and shipbuilding culture fallen on hard times. Feisty, street smart Lena, 18, lives in semi-penury with her hard-drinking slob of a father, Gorrión, and hopes to escape by getting a grant to study in Portugal. Gorrion is mixed up with local drug-smuggling mafiosi, that includes Lena's godfather, Gitano, their Portugese Cachero, and the strong, silent Milio. One day, Lena returns from her job to find Gorrion badly beaten up: The gang had accused him of stealing. Lena visits the gangsters and offers to help pay off her father's debt by working for them. After Gorrion forgets to deliver Lena's grant papers, a fragile emotional bond develops between Lena and Milio. When they set off to Portugal to do a job, events start to ramble.

Clandestinos

Xabi, a troubled boy, meets Iñaki, a member of the terrorist gang ETA who becomes his mentor and ideological inspiration. Some time later, Xabi is arrested for throwing a Molotov cocktail and confined in a juvenile detention center, where he meets Joel, a Mexican, and Driss, a Moroccan, with whom he manages to flee and reach Madrid with the purpose of finding Iñaki and joining the gang.

After several years away from the place where she was born, Isabel returns to her town to face the secrets of the past, the problems of the present and the illusions of the future. For her part, Marina will also have to move to that town after a strange traffic accident in which her mother is involved. Marina and Isabel, with very different characters, will see their destinies united from that moment on. With the help of other women, they will decide to revive an old restaurant to get ahead, while unraveling the strange accident that brought them to Monteverde and, most importantly, they start a shared path in which each one will end up finding themselves.
