Against the backdrop of his hometown and momentous historical events, the director seeks the answer to a seemingly simple question: What is my very first memory? As the film progresses, the audiovisual topography of memory transforms into a labyrinth where trauma and disappointment may lurk around every corner, and yet we continue to navigate through it.

After years of being released from prison, Huseyn calls his wife Gulshad to meet him. Gulshad is hopeful that she will be reunited with the person she loves after many years. Moreover, she is waiting for a logical explanation for some unanswered questions. She wants to find out why Huseyn has not been meeting her, and whether he committed the crime. Huseyn also has his own plan for their meeting. They enter a cave with only one entrance, far from everyone and everything, to confront their past.

The film is about the life of two brothers. One has caused another to have physical restriction and now the guilty lives with that suffer of regret. Apart from a society things happen, all these complicated psychological troubles, emotions and tragedy of a man, seeking answers in questions of humankind, the whole image turns into a absurd rebus in the time.

This film explores the lives of those men and the memories of those left behind: the childhoods they shared and the choices they made. These men, now in their 60s, reflect on what has happened to their generation, why most of their friends and relatives died so young and how this particular apartment block captures the story of a whole generation. The voices and lives of the departed are included in clips from amateur videos from the 1990s. Set against the background of old friends’ attempt to understand their deaths, this film is about nostalgia and how memories kindle a special kind of love for home.
