Hunter × Hunter: The Stage is a new upcoming play coming to Japan in May of 2023 and will be playing from the 12th - the 28th.

Enchanted by the magic of the word “unknown,” those who pursue its power are known as Hunters. As a child, Gon learned from Kite—a Hunter who visited Whale Island—that his father, Ging, long believed dead, is not only alive but a legendary Hunter. Now twelve years old, Gon leaves home to take the perilous Hunter Exam, determined to follow in his father's footsteps and meet him at last. Alongside the companions he meets on his journey—the assassin's son Killua, the vengeance-driven Kurapika, and the aspiring doctor Leorio—Gon confronts extraordinary trials that test his strength, wit, and spirit. This dynamic stage play adaptation brings the iconic "Hunter Exam" and "Zoldyck Family" arcs to life, capturing the adventure, friendship, and high stakes of the beloved series. The question hangs in the balance: Will Gon succeed in becoming a Hunter?

“September 1st at York New City!!──” After completing the hunter exam, Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio acquire Nen abilities in their respective locations. They meet again in York New City, where the world's largest auction will be held. At the same time, the Phantom Troupe led by Chrollo also gathered in York New to steal all the auction items. The Phantom Troupe, commonly known as the "Spiders", was once a group of thieves who took the lives of Kurapika's entire clan, the Kurta tribe. Destiny intertwines like chains. Kurapika's eyes turn scarlet with anger and sadness. Constraints and Covenants. Eventually, Kurapika confronts the Phantom Troupe alone in order to exact his revenge. Will Gon and the others be able to guide the hearts of their precious friends to peace?

This stage play is focused on Nekoma as the main team as they face off against Fukurōdani Academy and Nohebi Academy in the Tokyo qualifiers for the Spring Interhigh.

Is the second stage play adaption of Haruichi Furudate's Haikyū!! series. The stage play is split into two acts and covers the second half of the Karasuno High Team Formation Arc (the Karasuno vs Nekoma practice match), the Interhigh match against Tokonami, and the Interhigh match against Date Tech.
