Set in the 1960s, the story highlights a Chinese community that was labeled as communist and became victims of violence; they fled and took refuge in a tobacco warehouse in North Sumatra. Amid the cramped and stressful conditions of their refuge, a strange phenomenon occurred in which thousands of locusts fell from the sky. These locusts were no ordinary insects, but aggressive mutant pests that devoured everything in their path—including humans.

In a dark world, a man always bathed in cold water seeks refuge in an abandoned building, only to find disturbing silence and warmth that cannot last. Suddenly, a glimmer of light appears from behind a door. Is it salvation, or something far more sinister?

In the midst of a pandemic, Jaka intends to help his surroundings by providing food from his home. This is opposed by Mother, who emphasizes that the economy of their small family is also unstable and forbids Jaka to give anymore.
