The domestic cat has conquered almost the entire globe with around 400 million animals and is now also the star of social networks. It is not clear when and how they secured the favor of humans. Archaeologists, geneticists and behavioral biologists around the world have been researching these questions for years. Their latest findings make it possible to trace the path of the house cat.

From the jungles of Singapore to the coral reefs of Indonesia, from the ornaments of Australian budgies to the deceptive traps of carnivorous plants, this film explores a world where light becomes language. Seduction, camouflage, overexploitation, reproduction: fluorescence directs behavior, often without us noticing. A light phenomenon that science is just beginning to decipher.

Each year, tourists flock to stunning sites, while hidden stories of local wildlife unfold nearby. Mont Saint-Michel, the Loire valley châteaux, Alhambra or Bastei Bridge… Every year, these breathtaking sites attract tourists from across the world. But hidden in the meanderings off the beaten track, fascinating and unexpected stories unfold: the stories of the wildlife that inhabits these places. Today, the preservation of these exceptional sites can no longer be done without taking into account the wildlife. And after several centuries of ignoring each other, these two worlds are finally coming together to show that natural and historical heritage can become allies!
