Suddenly, the station’s peaceful life is disrupted by alarming news: a violent flood of the mountain rivers is expected, threatening the fields and herds of nearby collective farms. To assist the meteorologists, hydrologist Mirsaid arrives by helicopter from Stalinabad. For the helicopter pilot, Petr, every flight to Obi-Safed is a joy — his fiancée Vika is there. For the young, confident hydrologist Mirsaid, these flights are also not without interest, as he is actively courting Dilbar, much to Rajab’s dismay. Meanwhile, danger approaches.
