It's Christmas time and the farm animals have a problem: how to buy Farmer Brown the present of his dreams - a Tumbletron 300 clothes dryer. It's a race against time for them, and for Duck who has his own problem - upping his "nice" numbers for Santa to get off the "naughty" list.

When Duck finds out about a talent show at the county fair, he and the animals on the farm start rehearsing. While Farmer Brown tries to figure out what the animals are up to, Duck is determined they will enter the contest and win!

The literacy rate in Farmer Brown's barn goes up considerably once his cows find an old typewriter and begin typing. To the harassed farmer's dismay, his communicative cows quickly become contentious. When he refuses to comply with their demands, the cows take action. Soon the striking cows and Farmer Brown are forced to reach a mutually agreeable compromise, with the help of an impartial party--the duck. But this poor, beleaguered farmer's "atypical" troubles are not over yet!
