Li Shuang

Tang Monk brings three disciples on a journey to the West. On the outside, everything seems harmonious. However, tension is present beneath the surface, and their hearts and minds are not in agreement. After a series of demon-capturing events, the monk and his disciples gain mutual understanding of each others' hardships and unease. The first half of this film portrays the experiences of a young northern mainland Chinese woman (Fan) temporarily working as a sex worker in Hong Kong. After her 3-month visa expires, the second half of the film focuses on Yan's return to her family and her ex-fiancé in Northeast China and the ways that she invests the money that she has earned.
