The documentary portrays five people trying to recover from alcoholism or substance abuse. The different narratives present different aspects of addiction: there is an artist who stopped drinking without the help of Alcoholics Anonymous; a sober man for 23 years who helps anyone trying to overcome drug addiction; a woman who has been hospitalized; a retiree who has yet to overcome his addiction; and a recovered man who lives on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro.

Sinfonia da Vacina (Vaccine Symphony) follows a day of vaccination against Covid at the Municipal Theater in Rio de Janeiro: when the stage closes for the show, but opens up for collective care during this very important period for Brazil.

Wednesday, in Rio de Janeiro, is different from other days for having football at night. “Wednesday: Game Day” traces the journey of some workers through the Bafo de Onça radio station. But as not everything is about football, there are those who prefer to dance to cheesy music at Feira de São Cristóvão at the end of the day.

At the end of the 1940s, Lebanon is sliding towards a devastating conflict. Catholic siblings Emilie and Emir decide to leave for Brazil. Aboard the ship to their new home, Emilie falls in love with Omar, a Muslim merchant. For an enraged and jealous Emir, the relationship is intolerable. As the story unfolds against the backdrop of the majestic rainforest, Emir’s actions and the choice that Emilie subsequently makes lead to disastrous consequences.
