Summer 2006. The World Cup final is upon us. In a wealthy suburb, Marcello, a handyman who is busy installing a satellite dish on a roof, notices a boy sunbathing in the garden nearby. Je so’ pazzo is an intense portrait of Pino Daniele—a rebellious soul born in the alleys of Naples who revolutionized Italian music by blending blues, jazz, and Neapolitan tradition. The film chronicles his rise, from a childhood marked by abandonment to his legendary 1981 concert before a crowd of 200,000. Amidst family conflicts, personal vulnerabilities, and deep loves, Pino finds a musical language to express what words cannot. Yet success brings new challenges: an unresolved relationship with his father, the burden of expectations, and the risk of repeating past mistakes. It is not merely the story of an extraordinary musician, but that of a man grappling with himself, seeking reconciliation with his roots and the love of a city that never stopped waiting for him.

At the conclusion of the DO Tour Casting project, organized by the DO Cinema agency to search for new talent across Italy (including Turin, Milan, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Maratea), the video testimonials of the people met form a mosaic of stories, faces, and emotions. Twenty-four aspiring actors, embarked on a 400-day journey that began on the day of their audition, are trying their hand at their dream job. And amidst hopes and disappointments, uncertainties and talent, they create a universal portrait of a generation. An experiment that follows the maturation of future faces of cinema not only professionally, but also, and above all, personally.
