The second chapter in Assi Dayan's trilogy centers on three marginal characters from "Life According to Agfa". Malka, a whore with a Romanian accent who dreams of becoming a singer, Levi, her pimp and Moshe, a homeless man who dreams that Malka will love him and follows Malka and Levi. Levi navigates the trio in a grotesque and turbulent world in which people have lost the purpose of their existence. The result is a black comedy that combines the elements of the film "Bourekas" with poetic enlightening moments, all in the special, confident and blatant style of Assi Dayan.

Tzuri is a ruthless theater arts tutor who is very strict with his students. When one of his young female students is found beaten up, not so far from his apartment, he is suspended from his job despite having nothing to do with it. “The Vanished” was a full-length feature film produced nearly twenty years ago by the IDF Spokesperson’s Film Unit. It was an exceptionally ambitious and elaborate production, with an estimated budget of around one million dollars. The IDF invested generous resources—hundreds of extras, tanks, helicopters, and more were made available—and some of Israel’s top film professionals joined (or were enlisted) to take part in its creation. Nevertheless, at the very last moment, the IDF decided to shelve the film. “The Vanished” was never publicly screened, and to this day, the reason for its suppression remains unclear.

The Bukharan neighborhood of Jerusalem in the 1920s Naftali is a wealthy trader and a middle-aged widow whose all his former wives have mysteriously passed away and he is afraid to remarry with a belief that he has a curse on him. The matchmaker presses and the old woman coaxes and finally carries Flora, a 24-year-old virgin, but not to infect her with a curse, he avoids any physical contact with her. The plot gets complicated when Flora gets hurt as a result of her relationship with the fabric merchant, and Naftali, who can't bear the shame, turns his anger on his young wife.
