Itsuko Ogata still can't forget her crush in school, a boy with the same last name as her. She doesn't know where she buried the time capsule she made with Tamotsu 13 years ago, and is still searching for a place that may have been there.

Kaoru, who works at a cross-dressing cafe, is suddenly left without a place to live when his fiancé, Hayashitaro, who shows no understanding of Kaoru's hobby, announces that he wants to end their cohabitation. With no money and nowhere to go, Kaoru is saved by a shared house introduced to her by her colleague, Ruri. There she finds out that Yasumichi is living there, having escaped from his wife's constraints that "men should be strong." The two awkwardly begin to grow closer. Shirahoshi is a girl who can’t tolerate when things are not absolutely right. She won the runner-up prize in a manga contest but decided to abandon her dream of becoming a manga artist since she wasn’t going to be the best. Now she spends her days searching for a job. She also cannot accept the reality she was abruptly dumped by her boyfriend who she had hoped would be the perfect match. Then Shirahoshi suddenly comes face-to-face with a suspicious man and self-proclaimed ghost who warns her that not everything has to be “black or white.”

Noboru, a struggling photographer, has promised his wife that he will get a regular job if his upcoming solo exhibition fails. One day, he becomes captivated by the alluring beauty of Tomomi, a visitor to the exhibition, and begins a secret affair with her.

A young detective is reassigned to media relations, uncovering the drama and secrets behind the headlines while helping solve crimes.
