In the depths of the missionary jungle, a documentary about the life of some settlers is transformed by the suicide of the protagonist. The director decides to embark on an alchemical exploration, thus questioning herself about the desire to die, to live and about what we cannot understand.

Sergio is an employee at a funeral home. One night, his life takes an unexpected turn: he must prepare a new person to be watched, Virginia, and something in him changes.

The film tells the story of Omar, a construction worker from Villa Elisa, a small town in the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina, who rejects the idea that big screens may disappear. He will do anything he can to preserve that which he has held on to since he was a child, even though he has to build it with the remnants of what was.

A young actress with anxiety problems calls a suicide hotline after taking a few pills. On the other end of the line she finds Gloria, a verbose volunteer who will do anything to make the callers change their minds.

Barbara’s behavior at school unlishes the suspicions of her teacher and the school psychologist, Sara. Talks at school with Sara, begin to reveal fears and darkness that the girl hides behind her eyes. Already convinced of her suspicions, Sara tries to get her superiors’ support as well as Barbara’s mother support to set her free out of her pain. Barbara’s mother denial, her own fear and the inaction of different institutions seem to be impossible barriers to overcome.

An accident brings Ana back to Buenos Aires, to the turbulent reunion with her past and the delayed mourning of her first love.

Sergio, Mali and Luz reluctantly agreed to spend Christmas in the country with their mother; in part because of the guilt they feel about saying no when she has just come out of the hospital after a heart attack, but also because it would be nice to escape from their frustrations for a while.
