Crossing Lines

Cairo, a reformed criminal, enjoys his new life as a gang exit counselor. When his nephew Hamza disappears, Cairo discovers he had secretly joined his former gang. Despite his pledge to avoid violence, frustration with the police's lack of action pushes Cairo to seek help from his former underworld connections. His investigation leads him into Copenhagen's criminal scene. Despite his efforts to avoid violence, his past instincts resurface.

Elias dreams of a family. Christian is happy about their free existence in an open relationship, where they have time and money to travel, buy expensive designer furniture and love each other. Elias has been able to keep his longing at bay for a long time, but when he starts his new job as a psychologist at a school home, it is as if the burden is overflowing. He must face the fact that a life without a human responsibility for others than himself can never be a happy life for him.

A woman is miraculously cured of a deadly illness, which sends her into an existential crisis, as she had not only accepted death, but had actually been looking forward to it. Burdened by existence, she begins to daydream about being something else. She becomes envious of her happy and carefree golden retriever, Walter. Her obsession with Walter’s seemingly perfect life, makes her forget to live her own. While she’s paralyzed by the gift of life, Walter sets off on his own adventure.
