Set against the glamorous backdrop of Britain's roaring '20s, The Laureate tells the story of young British War Poet Robert Graves, who is married with four children when he meets and becomes romantically involved with Laura Riding, a writer from America. Defying the conventions of polite society, Riding moves in with Graves and his wife living as a menage a tois. Then with the arrival of strappingly handsome Irish poet Geoffrey Phibbs, the arrangement becomes a menage a quatre. But soon tensions and rivalries become so fraught that Graves is a suspect for attempted murder.

When a friend of Cynthia's 17-year-old daughter Viola is shot dead in a hunt for a criminal, "Zero" contacts her and tries to recruit her for their own purposes. In the meantime, Cynthia has bad suspicions during her research, because soon a new version of the app will be released that will change everything.

Florist Gwen is an employee in a flower wholesaler and is ensnared by her likable boss Joey, which the young woman does not mind. They both start an affair. The relationship with her constantly frustrated and stressful mother, Ellen, doesn't look that rosy. Thankfully, there is still her life partner Ron, the down-to-earth calm anchor of the family. While delivering flowers to the cemetery, Gwen falls into an open grave and passes out. When she wakes up again, an attractive and caring man bends over her. It is emergency doctor Lennard, a single widower with a lively teenage daughter whose wife was killed in a traffic accident a year ago. An ex-employee of her flower shop was then convicted. However, the circumstances remain mysterious. When the flower seller find out about this, she initially keep at distance. But then Gwen finds a red balloon in the garden with a message from the doctor's daughter Lilly to her dead mother, who breaks her heart, because she is a half-orphan herself.

Series written by Christiane Sadlo about writer and journalist under the pseudonym "Inga Lindström" and her family. Characterized by impressive landscapes, all of which are shot on location in Sweden. Series has no continuous storyline, and each episode is filled with new characters.
