Zeca tries to get up early to catch the bus and arrive an hour and a half later at the neighboring town’s school, where he works as a librarian. Waking up early is evermore difficult: something prevents him from maintaining his routine. One day, Zeca meets Louisa.

Marina, a pregnant woman, experiences life from metals of the industrial city where she grew up. With her sister, she discovers a past where the Black workers who built the capital were excluded. When she meets Maria, a lady who is said to haunt one of the capital's first buildings, something supernatural happens.
