Marcel de Groot

The Dutch musical comedians Theo Nijland, Maarten van Roozendaal, Jeroen van Merwijk and Kees Torn sing and play a selection of their songs to promote the Dutch theater song.

In this theatre show Maarten van Roozendaal, double bassist Egon Kracht and guitarist Marcel de Groot "celebrate" the "achievements" of Western civilization. However, the ambitious pursuit of wealth, happiness and freedom also appears to have a downside.

D.C. has been abandoned by his girlfriend Nola, wants to go to Hollywood and participates in 'chicken races' out of desperation and lack of money; a perilous event in which one travels a certain distance on the road by car without stopping.

This theatre performance is built around the 'seven corporal works of mercy'. Comedian Maarten van Roozendaal tells and sings about life, death, love, spring and bears. He is accompanied by Egon Kracht on double bass and Marcel de Groot on guitar.
