The police seizure of a drug shipment unleashes a terrible struggle for survival in a town subjected to the abuses of power and drug traffickers.

The story follows a lonely, widowed elderly man whose solitude is broken by the adoption of a dog he finds in an almost magical situation. This animal becomes a great source of companionship and comfort to the protagonist, Mr. Simón, amidst the social devastation wrought by the pandemic on many Peruvian families and homes.

Carlos, an ambitious businessman, tries to take over the companies of his young wife Liz's father. To achieve his goal, they will take a short trip to a cabin outside the city. Along the way, a stranger named Manuel appears who will captivate Liz, unleashing a war of jealousy, passion, and bloodshed.

It is the story of Alejandro Medina, a poet who denounces the atrocities of power through radio. He survives an assassination attempt along with his daughters Mercedes and Carolina, and the protagonist is left convalescing in a wheelchair.
