One night, a state-assigned assassin breaks into the home of a writer with democratic beliefs. The assassin has come to carry out a death sentence issued by a totalitarian regime. The two engage in a long conversation about ideology, freedom, life, and death. Their discussion is overheard by two messengers of the Lord of Death, who also begin to converse among themselves. The clash between truth and lies inevitably leads to death, but one of the messengers comes to the realization that death is the beginning of life. Moved by this insight, the messenger decides to live as a human and continue the writer's work.

The great writer Dashdorji Natsagdorji's story "Tears of the Reverend Lama" criticizes the sufferings of Tserenlham women and Lodon Geshes, and reveals the process of changes in Mongolian society and the formation of new classes. Based on this story, it is intended to show the low fate of women in any society.

A troubled teenage girl is coerced into seeing a local shaman in search of spiritual healing. Trapped by ancient beliefs that serve only to pacify her mother, she finds peace in the physical realm by unleashing her repressed, youthful spirit on the unsuspecting shaman when she realises his true identity.
