German vehicle fanatic Dieter 'Didi' accepts to drive a truckload of waste barrels to a French dump site. Didi ignores the plant needs to dump toxic waste after a major incident, which made the international news. But while the French site exploiter's agent Marcel believes it's Did's load, that's in fact a deliberately obvious diversion. Now everyone chases everyone else.

Heinz Erhardt wanders through the Black Forest as a photographer for a magazine. On the train he meets a young girl who from now on does not leave his side.

An army war school during the WWII: first Lieutenant Krafft has a strong sense of justice. This has often brought him into disrepute with his previous superiors and he has been transferred several times as a result. With his new position in an officer's school, he hopes to survive the war and tries to avoid further conflicts. However, Krafft is entrusted with an investigation by his general - a supervising officer has been blown to pieces by an explosive charge during an engineer exercise. Although the chief field judge rules the man's death an accident, Krafft reconstructs the events and proves that it was a case of murder. Ensign Hochbauer, who was in the party's favor, is said to have deliberately shortened the fuse during the explosive exercise, as a result of which the supervising officer was unable to get to safety in time.

Eberhard Dobermann is a widower and a policeman who loves to control the roads and let people pay fines. Even with his neighbour and friend Jutta Schmalbach he has no pity. Thus he cannot understand why his daughter Karin just falls in love with a racing pilot called Walter. But it gets even worse when Eberhard wins a VW-Kaefer at the annual police party. So he has to learn to drive and thus even brings his teacher close to a heart attack.

A member of the party opposed to the one in which he is mistakenly listed as a candidate, a citizen with a somewhat murky private life becomes a senator.

Street sweeper Sigi finds a box containing not only 300,000 marks, but also a photo of his unsympathetic superior in a compromising situation. Sigi thinks he's in luck, but what he doesn't realize is that an unscrupulous businesswoman wanted to use the money to bribe influential men. And of course she wants her money back. So the good-natured Sigi becomes embroiled in a series of turbulent adventures.
