Hachi Nekome

Bunsaku and Konosuke used to work together. However, after the suicide of Konosuke's childhood friend Natsume, the two go their separate ways. Then, a parcel addressed to Konosuke arrives from Tsugusawa who was the cameraman on Natsume's film.

Yoko, a high school student, lives with her brother, Kenji. Since they lost their parents early, they have been supported each other. One night, Yoko witnesses Kenji, who is planning to get married, having an affair with Misa. Kenji’s cheating makes Yoko frustrated; however, Yoko felt uncomfortable and unsatisfied with Kenji's fiancé, Kaho, because Kaho suddenly cut into life of Kenji and Yoko. In a weekend, Yoko tails Misa and decides to speak to her. Compulsion and curiosity make Yoko confront Misa, but Yoko is seduced by Misa’s gentle and strong yet unstable character. Then, Yoko tells Misa, “Why don’t we stop my brother’s wedding?” A strange complicity relationship between two women begins.

Focusing on the lives (and a few deaths) of three filmmakers, Rikiya Imaizumi (Their Distance, Sad Tea) tackles weighty themes in this new ensemble drama set in Tokyo and Fukushima. Director Kajiwara, struggling to earn a living from film, gets an offer to do a music video. But it doesn’t go well and he finds himself in an unexpected situation. Actress Aoba witnesses her filmmaker boyfriend's suicide and decides to hide his body. Gardener Taro plans to close the family business he inherits from his father, but receives a phone call one night from the self-declared girlfriend of his estranged twin, Jiro.
