A comedy about erotically addicted men is therapy for everyone, especially those who think they don't need therapy. At a session for erotically addicted men, Eda, the owner of a bicycle repair shop, meets Cyril, a history and physical education teacher; GIGI, an aging rocker; Přemek, a retired screenwriter; and Martin, a young IT specialist. The therapy is led by Linda, a recent graduate and single woman, for whom meeting this group of diverse male characters becomes a fateful step not only in her professional career.

A group therapy session unites three scorned wives as they help one another destroy the lives and careers of their selfish, unfaithful husbands.

The central character of the romantic comedy Casting for Love is Stela Nebeská, an unsuccessful actress who, approaching forty, realizes that she is unlikely to make it big. She loses her job at the theater, where she only played minor roles anyway. Her career failure is followed by personal failure - her husband starts cheating on her and doesn't even try to hide it. But Stela is not willing to accept defeat and is determined not to give up without a fight. She vows that, come what may, she will find someone who will make her husband green with envy. So she launches a grand audition for a new love. She starts dating, but every date is with an eccentric and unsuitable suitor, and every date ends in disaster. Will Stela finally find the right one? Or have all the decent men died out?

Set in Czechoslovakia, the drama follows the lives of its characters against the backdrop of real historical events that shape their personal stories. To evoke period atmosphere, the series intersperses authentic clips from vintage Czechoslovak film newsreels, using their original commentaries or newly recorded historical voice-overs by Vladimír Fišer. A narrator, initially voiced by Vojtěch Kotek and later by Matěj Hádek, provides continuity and reflection, guiding viewers through changing times. Under the guidance of screenwriter Rudolf Merkner, each episode’s script weaves family and individual dramas into key moments of Czech and Slovak history: political shifts, cultural trends, and social transformations from the 1960s onward.
