A stranger, who appears as suddenly as he disappears, stops him by force. At night, wolves break into the Arndahls' stables and snatch a calf. The next morning, Arne sets off to hunt down the gray predators. On the way, he is surprised by a snowstorm. And suddenly they are there: the wolves! Arne slips and loses his weapon. At first he manages to fend off the wolves with a wooden club, but then one of the beasts knocks him to the ground and the others are all over him...

Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

Der Kommissar is a German television series about a group of detectives of the Munich homicide squad. All 97 episodes, which were shot in black-and-white and first broadcast between 1969 and 1976, were written by Herbert Reinecker and starred Erik Ode as Kommissar Herbert Keller. Keller's assistants were Walter Grabert, Robert Heines, and Harry Klein who, in 1974, was replaced by his younger brother Erwin Klein.

Das Kriminalmuseum was a German television series. It ran from 1963 to 1970 on ZDF and was one of its first programs. Each episode began with a tracking shot through an unspecified crime museum, stopping at one of the displays, whose story was then told. Each episode was between 60 and 75 minutes long and featured different actors as the criminal commissioner. The best known was Erik Ode, who in 1969 moved to Der Kommissar, appearing in 97 episodes. The theme music of the series was written by German composer Martin Böttcher, who also composed the complete scores for five episodes.

Kottan ermittelt is an Austrian television series that was aired by Austrian television ORF between 1976 and 1984. The satirical 19-episode series about a policeman from Vienna now sports cult status. Police major Adolf Kottan was played by three actors who each gave the character a distinct 'flavor'.

Telerop 2009 – Es ist noch was zu retten is a German television series.

Tom Dawson is fatally struck in the head by a golf ball hit by Peter Newton. His son, Harry Dawson, a Scotland Yard inspector on leave, does not believe it was an accident. He arranges to meet Peter Newton, but finds him murdered in his car outside his apartment. Chief Inspector Yardley and Inspector Nat Fletcher now suspect Harry Dawson.
