Erik Hoopen’s “Oversea Travel Agency” in Hamburg fronts an international gold‐smuggling ring. Couriers hide gold bars in special vests, exporting them to black markets in Cairo, Khartoum, Hong Kong, and Singapore and returning with suitcases of cash. Fierce underworld competition leads to thefts and murders. Central to the intrigue is mysterious locker #763, tying the criminal network together.

Three pretty schoolgirls of marriageable age giggle and cackle while lying naked in bed as they read from the erotic notes of one of them, which are compiled in a notebook called "My intimate diary". One day, the author of these late-pubescent outpourings, Monika Hannemann, daughter of a town councillor, leaves her erotic fantasies in the classroom, whereupon these lines fall into the hands of the slippery teacher Miss Stubentreu. She reads them and learns from the lines that Monika must have become a village mattress and slept with half the men in Bumburg. Soon the erotic content is making the rounds, becoming the talk of the small town, and the conjectures and insinuations about who had or could have had what with whom in Bumburg run rampant. Even a reporter named Waltraut Henze, who has few scruples, arrives because she senses a sensational story behind the scribblings.

In Hamburg's red light district Jule and his mob of macks battle Holleck's competing Viennese clan. When a sex worker is murdered both kingpins join forces to hunt the killer and keep the police from cracking down on their business.

Robert is magically attracted to Johanna. He observes and stalks her. Finally, the two get to know each other. But Johanna's relationship with Karl is not quite over.

In a satirical way, the typical television coverage after a (fictitious) state election is simulated — including projections, interviews, commentaries, and a so-called “heavyweight round”. When then, over the course of the broadcast, the voter turnout is estimated as just 3.86 percent of those eligible to vote, none of the involved believes it. But after this information turns out to be true, it is attempted to explain this scandalous, impertinent, and downright subversive behaviour of the electorate.
