School principal Hans is about to retire, but neither he nor his wife, Rita, are happy about their newly gained free time. For the past 35 years, their marriage has followed a well-established routine, with Rita setting the pace. As far as Rita is concerned, there is no reason to change anything. In fact, she does not like change at all. However, a stroke of fate reopens old wounds and forces them to ask themselves: Are they still a couple, or two separate individuals?

A bullied young boy befriends a flying, talking moose that crashed through his ceiling after a test-flight with Santa went terribly awry in this holiday film for the whole family. But later, just as Mr. Moose and Beril strike up a friendship, the young boy's nefarious landlord Mr. Pannecke decides a mounted moose head would make a fine new addition to his trophy wall. But Santa has other plans for Mr. Moose, and when he turns up looking for his lost pal, Beril is faced with the prospect of losing his one and only friend.

Intern Annika gets the chance for a permanent position at the record company "GrandMusic". As a rehearsal, she is supposed to prepare the Finnish boy group "Ripili" for a youth competition in Germany. When the band arrives at the airport, Annika realizes that the band is the third-rate Finnish death metal band.

Impoverished former soprano Anneliese Behrens is forced to leave her house and collapses in an underground passage, when looking for a place to sleep. In the hospital, she learns that she suffers from a brain tumor and needs 24-hour attention. Although they have maintained no contact with each other, she will be hosted by her daughter, who, however, has already booked a Christmas vacation with her family in Thailand. The only solution is to take her mother with her.
