Director's intimate story about the loss of his younger brother, who was brutally killed in a fight in front of one of Belgrade's riverside bars. Through this one and several similar incidents, where people lost their lives without any reason, the director searches for the roots of violence and hate in our society. Recipe for Hate is a documentary about the process of creating and spreading hate, and how we, as a society, have easily complied with the violence that surrounds us.

Dagi is a famous actor, but a heavy drinker. At one point his condition becomes critical and he ends up in the hospital where he is diagnosed with delirium tremens. Having lost sensation in his limbs, incapable of grasping what is happening around him, imagination plays tricks on him, and as he falls into delirium he finds himself in surreal situations. Once he comes round, he realizes that his life has been ruined and attempts suicide. Saved at the last moment, Dagi remains in the hospital overcome with apathy. However, things change when Lisa, a therapist from England, appears with a revolutionary new method of therapy for severely affected patients known as - psychodrama.

Angel Ljubiša (Nikola Pejaković) is trying to bring together the incompatible, the unestablished director Bata (Andrija Kuzmanović), Una (Anđelka Prpić), the popular and charismatic TV presenter and the police inspector Trišić. (Andrej Šepetkovski).

Through evoking memories from the Great War, battles and wounds they went through, Serbian combatants Milunka, Blagoje and Tanasko tell the story of times which share the same forgetfulness and injustice to those who honorably laid their lives on the altar of the fatherland.

The film follows the celebrated writer and Nobel prize winner Ivo Andrić during WWII, when diplomats and diplomatic staff from Yugoslav missions from countries occupied by the Third Reich, including Andrić, who was ambassador of the Yugoslav diplomatic mission in Berlin, were deported to a hotel on Lake Constance.

Apart from showing the situation in Serbia at that time, the parallel course of the story follows the release of the young writer Nusic from prison and his arrival at the villa of King Milan, where he begs for pardon for the satirical song “Two Slaves” whose publication provoked the king’s anger.

Legendary TV series from the 1970s about the adventures of two truck drivers is updated for the modern age.
