A TV reporter tries to find out who is killing prostitutes in a São Paulo neighbourhood.

In Rio de Janeiro's bohemian district called Lapa, during the '40s, a stylish and popular scoundrel exploits a cabaret singer, and earns his living by means of petty swindles. But then he meets Ludmila, the cabaret owner's daughter, who wants to get rich smuggling goods in times of war.

A public relations man is invited to guide an American millionaire during his stay in Rio de Janeiro. He gets involved in the most bizarre situations, from orgiastic mega-parties to confrontations with the police, meetings with drug dealers and movie stars, facing corruption and even murder.

Galanga, king of Congo brought to Brazil as a slave, finds gold in Vila Rica, in the State of Minas Gerais, and buys his enfranchisement, the properties of his former owner, and his companions' freedom, becoming Chico Rei, the first black man to own lands in Brazil.

Interviews and performances with black women on film, theater and television who narrate their lives, careers, discrimination and struggles in the Brazilian artistic world. Starring actresses Zezé Motta, Ruth de Souza, Léa Garcia, Zenaide Zen and Adele Fátima, as well as activist Lélia Gonzáles.

Four teenagers, each facing a major conflict. Majô, the daughter of separated parents, has fallen in love with her mother Raquel’s husband, the teacher Túlio. Caíto, who is gay, lives in a dysfunctional home where his parents' marriage—Dirceu and Marilu’s—is going from bad to worse. Doca is a drug addict, and his sister Bia has become pregnant by her boyfriend, Michel. Their parents, Odilon and Paula, are deeply unhappy as well. Interwoven with their stories is that of Túlio—a former addict turned upstanding teacher—who encounters a haunting figure from his past: his ex-sister-in-law, Fernanda.

Adapted from the book by Zélia Gattai, the series portrays her family's memories, addressing, with good humor, the dreams and difficulties experienced by immigrants in São Paulo in 1920

The miniseries addresses the struggle of Pedro Arcanjo, guided by Magé Bassã, his holy mother, to protect African culture and integrate it into Brazilian society, creating a new culture. The plot takes place in the Bahian setting filled with the stories of the characters who intersect in Arcanjo's struggle: the friendship with Mestre Lídio, shaken when Rosa de Oxalá, his wife, falls in love with Archanjo; loves prohibited by the incompatibility of saints; the fight against the intolerance and racial prejudice of those in power.
