To be defeated and not be - a victory. This is the motto that life is guided by three young friends: Alek, Sophy and Rudy. Scouts, high school graduates high school in Warsaw drifting ambitious plans for the future broken through September 1939. Entering adulthood in a very dramatic times, which puts them a choice - to survive at any cost, or to join the fighting for a free homeland, risking everything. The boys brought up in patriotic homes, shaped by the ideals of scouting, they decide to fight. They become soldiers, and although every scrape with death, they can live a full life.

Kasia (Klaudyna Lewczuk), a student of dance school, lives with her mother (Ewa Kasprzyk) in a large flat. One day her mother rents a room to the lodger – a sports high school student. The film is based on the story by Bogna Hołyńska "Fresh paint" and refers to the Sixth Commandment "You shall not commit adultery." - as a part of film cycle produced within the project „Dekalog 89+”. Marcin Bortkiewicz is one of the ten young directors which has taken the challenge of making new film on the Decalogue Commandment's impact for young generations, due to the project made on 20th anniversary of launching the famous "Decalogue" by Krzysztof Kieślowski.

A possessive mother, furious that her pregnant daughter’s lover is unacceptable, blackmails her unsuspecting subordinate into marrying the young woman sight unseen. On the wedding day, the groom wakes up hung over beside a stranger, and must scramble to hide his secret lover before the bride, her mother, and the best man arrive.

Tonia lives with her father and grandmother. Her mother is dead, her father is an alcohol abuser and he lost his job. His grandmother decides to send him to work on a construction site in Italy for three months. Tonia will do everything in her power to foil this plan.
