A young Brazilian, who has just started working in a huge forest in Berlin, is dragged into a nightmare involving the German colonial past when he tries to find a girl lost in the woods.

In a rural village colonized by Germans, little Ana watches a play about the history of the Thiltapes. It is a dangerous animal that lives in the forest, and no one knows its real form. Two hundred years earlier, a botanist who writes about the region hears about this same animal. The stories intertwine, both in an obsessive search for the imaginary Thiltapes, while at the same time facing their own demons: the weakened botanist eager for a discovery that will justify his trip and Ana intrigued by her father, suspected of having committed a brutal crime against a neighbor’s cow.

After 15 years of living abroad, Amanda returns home with her French boyfriend, Martin. They arrive at her family's large-scale farm, located in a secluded village on the endless plains of southern Brazil. There, Amanda finds her father in a coma in the midst of increasing tension among the workers. The story begins with the ambiguous relationship between friends Viola and Luma, who seem predestined to literally enter each other's lives. From humble origins, Viola moves with her boyfriend Mavi to Angra dos Reis, where Luma lives a luxurious life and dates Rudá, who ends up meeting Viola by chance. Thus begins the duo's journey, which goes from a passion for recipes to an obsession with the same man, from the immediate connection to the point of starting to live their friend’s reality, 10 years later. A journey divided between complicity and rivalry, which includes them in a love quadrangle and is impacted by a series of circumstances, twists and surprises, such as the secret surrounding a murder.
