Shouq

The film shows the life story of the martyred poet (Fayek Abdul-Jalil), whose words were sung by many of the most prominent Gulf artists, including (Abdul-Rab Idris), (Talal Maddah), (Abu Bakr Salem), and (Ebadi Al-Jawhar), who became after his arrest by the Iraqi forces, the most famous Kuwaiti prisoner during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in the early nineties, after writing many patriotic songs.

After leaving prison, Meshary decides to try to start his life anew, which puts him in many troubles he did not expect, and he enters into a struggle between his past and his present when he meets love.

The events of the series revolve around a wealthy woman named "Ghanima" who is very controlling over her family and her husband, which makes them radically turn against her and leave her alone.

The series deals with the life of a man whose two daughters take refuge with him after their divorce, and they live with him along with their children. During the events, many disputes arise between them that indicate an old animosity between them, in addition to situations that indicate their suffering after the divorce.

Having spent almost half her life incarcerated, 80-year-old Ghanima is finally released from prison. She must strive to let go of the past and make a fresh start.
